The International Criminal Court (ICC) is pursuing arrest warrants for Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to a statement released on Monday.
ICC prosecutor Karim Khan announced that he had concluded there was sufficient evidence to seek the warrants. The warrants would place Netanyahu on the same level of accountability as Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has also been the subject of an ICC investigation.
